Weissmatten's
black run is something more than a piste: it
is a myth. Generations of champions have
attempted (and continue to attempt) this
descent, that hasn't lost its charm or
attractions over the years.
Weissmatten's
Black is entirely tracked through wooded
area so you'll find it in very good
condition all theyear round. The snow making
cannons that cover the entire piste will
ensure that statement.
A
modern two-seater chairlift takes you to
2,020 m where, after a stop in the pretty
mountain restaurant of the top, you'll just
have to decide if you want to engage
immediately in the famous black (4.7 km) or
begin softly with the blue (6.2 km) and the
red (5.4 km.). Life is hard in the mountains
is it not?
