This
area is unique in that you can also ski it
in summer. Here, on the Indren Glacier is
the highest point reached by Monterosa Ski
facilities: its name is "Forcella Bors"
(3,550m.) and you reach it with the "Roccette"
skilift.
From
Forcella Bors starts the off-piste descent
to Gressoney, an enthralling trip that we
recommend only to experienced skiers. Here
again we strongly recommend that you ski
here only in the company of a guide or ski
instructor.
Remember,
the same characteristics that make this area
a natural unspoiled fun-fair, can become, if
underestimated, the cause of serious
accidents.
Most
of the slopes in Alagna are medium and easy,
except the "black pearl" of the
area: the "Balma" run. Arriving in
Punta Indren with the cable car, turn right
and get ready for a great emotion.
The
Balma run is almost 10 km long and goes from
the 3,260 m. of Punta Indren to the 2,398 m
of Bocchetta delle Pisse, following a really
demanding itinerary: schuss, bumps and off-piste
variations will make you enjoy your way down
to the starting point of the Balma cable
