Colle Bettaforca (2,718 m.)

Colle Bettaforca is one of the "key points" of Monterosa Ski and plays the role of watershed between the Valleys of Ayas and Gressoney.

Two modern four-seater chairlifts with automatic hooking take the skiers to the top and provide access to two pistes of medium difficulty.

We suggest this ski area to intermediate skiers and to family groups. The slopes are very large and long, plus it is possible to enjoy skiing in the bright Monterosa sunshine for the whole day. What an opportunity! Ski one valley, then the other and get a sun tan at the same time.

Want to ski on Champoluc side? Simply take the "Del Colle" piste. This is a 4 kilometre long slope. Connection to the "Dei Larici" slope.

A little bit demanding on its top half, the descent becomes easier in its second stage, that which leads to Frachey. And here's a special lunch time suggestion; stop at Ciarcerio's Restaurant for a sandwich or a good "polenta".

If you wish to reach Gressoney from the top of Bettaforca chairlift, take the "Pistone Betta". This slope, wide and easy all the way to S.Anna, offers the skier magnificent powdery snow all winter long.
A great opportunity for you to look good and feel good - even, dare we suggest - just a teeny bit better than you actually are.

Once you reach S.Anna (2,170 m.), staring point of Gressoney/Bettaforca chairlift, you can continue skiing down through wooded trails towards Staffal (1,830 m.), a small village where you'll be able to stop for a drink or for lunch.

From Staffal a six-seater cable way takes you up to the Gabiet (2,325 m.). Besides the importance to connect the two sides of Gressoney Valley, this cable car makes transfers in the area far easier, as it allows visitors to ski on both sides without need for a shuttle service.
