Six charming tourist resorts in the heart of the Dolomites, with Agordo as their "capital": it is the Basso Agordino area, a large area including Taibon Agordino, Voltago Agordino, Gosaldo, Rivamonte Agordino and La Valle Agordina (the last three belonging to the National Park of the Belluno Dolomites). With the imposing peaks of Agner, the Tamer-San Sebastiano chain and Imperina towering over it, Agordino displays the special features of a mountain village while being, at the same time, an historic town, rich in architectural monuments such as the historic Villa Crotta de' Manzoni (the most northern among the Veneto villas) and the 19th Century parish Church. In winter it is possible to ski in the nearby ski areas and also to use Agordo as a starting point to reach the Civetta. Valle del Biois and Marmolada ski resorts.
