"Help me Ronda, help, help me
Ronda".
Who was it, the Beach Boys?. Well Arabba, one of Italy's most popular
resorts, surely got some help when it joined the ski area known as The
Sella Ronda. With 175 km of ski runs the area offers skiing for most
mere mortals but the area is best suited to the better skiers amongst
us. OK stand up and be counted please. Or should I say, "come on down?"
To ensure snow there is direct access to the Marmolada glacier which on
its own is not all that challenging but, hey. Don't look a gift horse in
the mouth and all that.
Arabba is mainly for skiers. It is not
recognized as a great village nor is it know for its raunchy night life,
there simply is'nt/t much. What there is, is skiing and snowboarding and
Helli skiing, some of the best of all three pursuits in Europe for that
