Ski Italy? Isn't
that the land of
culture, pizza,
pasta and fine
wine? But skiing,
c'mon now,
skiing in Italy?
Shurely some
mistake as the
saying goes. No
dear reader no
mistake. You see
Italy is not
only homw to the
highest mountain
in Europe, Mont
Bland or Monte
Bianco in
Courmayeur, but
it has some of
the best and
liveliest ski
stations in all
of Europe. And
do you want
fashionable
skiing. How des
the name Cortina
d' Ampezzo grab |
you?
That well know
resort is the
site of olympic
fame past and is
smack in the
middle of one of
the most
beautiful
mountain ranges
in Italy, the
Dolomites.
Please don't
forget the
resorts near
Turin as well.
They just
finished hosting
the winter
Olympics as well.
And think of
Cervinia
on the
Italian side of
the
Matterhorn, or
Monte Rosa the
site of a
cluster of great resorts just
down one
road and up
another.
There are plenty
of places to ski
in |
Italy. Many
are world class,
some are better
for less
experienced
skiers and more
are for
beginners. Is
skiing in Italy
cheaper than
other spots in
Europe. Not
since the
inception of the
Euro is
my
opinion. Anyway
skiing
in Italy
is plentiful and
fun. Yes thee is
the great food
and wine. And
yes again the
Italians exhibit
a special joy of
living that
makes the
country
bubble. So
skiing in Italy
it is.
As a winter
destination
almost any bit
